CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Decosimo Financial Analyst, Andy Lipscomb, CPA•ABV,
was honored today by the TSSAA (Tennessee Secondary School Athletic
Association) with the Distinguised Service Award.
Each year, Andy calculates the statistical probability of every
contending team in the region for the state football playoffs.
"It's an invaluable tool", says TSSAA Executive Director Ron Carer, "I
don't know what we would do without his help."
Additionally, Andy was presented with the Southeast Tennessee
Placement Consortium's Disabled Employee of the Year Award. Diagnosed
with a mild form of autism known as Asperger's Syndrome, Andy
understands the difficulties facing many people who are considered
'disabled'. "It took me over a year to get my first job after
college", he said. "I hope this helps people understand its okay to
have disabled people in the workplace. Just because you are
classified as disabled doesn't mean you don't have value."
Nowhere is Andy's value more recognized than in Decosimo's Corporate
Finance practice where he has worked for the past nine years. He
graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a degree in
mathematics after graduating from Baylor High School (Chattanooga,
Tennessee) in 1990. He is a Certified Public Accountant and an
Accredited Business Valuation professional.
