 CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (April 23, 2007)— Fred Decosimo, CPA and Principal with Joseph Decosimo and Company, PLLC, is included in this year's list of the 100 most powerful people in Tennessee. The Power 100 list is compiled annually by Business Tennessee magazine and includes 100 of the most influential citizens of the Volunteer State in the areas of business, government and philanthropy.
Business Tennessee recognized Mr. Decosimo—the only CPA to make the list—for his political fundraising, his work with the regional Decosimo CPA firm and the firm’s investment banking practice, which is responsible for $17 billion in transactions over the last 30 years.
Business Tennessee writes of Mr. Decosimo, "Like his legendary father Joe before him, [Fred is] a force in political fundraising and community involvement...one of the few Tennesseans who attained Pioneer status, raising $100,000 or more for the 2004 Bush campaign.”
Mr. Decosimo is one of only 15 Tennesseans to achieve Pioneer or Ranger status, raising $100,000 or more for the 2004 Bush Campaign. Besides his political fundraising, Mr. Decosimo is an active community leader in Chattanooga and serves on numerous civic boards.
