 CHATTANOOGA, TN (May 30, 2007)—Shannon Farr recently joined the corporate finance practice of Joseph Decosimo and Company as Business Valuation Manager.
Ms. Farr is a licensed certified public accountant with 15 years of accounting experience, including an array of business valuation and litigation support experience.
Ms. Farr’s valuation experience has been utilized in divorce property settlements, sale and purchase transactions, federal gift tax determinations, shareholder settlements and minority interest buy-outs. In her litigation support experience, she has provided expert witness testimony and served the court as Special Master. In this role, she currently supervises entities falling under court order and reports to the court on the activities of the entities.
Before moving to Chattanooga, Ms. Farr was a shareholder and director of a public accounting firm in Birmingham, Alabama. She has provided audit, tax and consulting services to clients in numerous industries including healthcare, government, nonprofit, construction and fabrication, manufacturing and insurance. She also performed due diligence and assisted clients with mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Farr graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Tennessee. She is a member with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of CPAs. Her civic involvement includes board positions within Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.
