KNOXVILLE, TN (Dec. 12, 2007)—Joseph Decosimo and Company, PLLC, a leading regional accounting and business advisory firm, announces the addition of Jason Hamilton, CPA, as a Senior Manager with the tax practice of the firm’s Knoxville office.
“With the addition of Jason Hamilton, a seasoned tax accountant and advisor with experience in a variety of industries, Decosimo will be better positioned to serve Knoxville’s diverse market from a local office,” said Managing Principal Nick Decosimo.
Mr. Hamilton has thirteen years of experience providing tax and advisory services to consolidated corporations, closely held businesses and their owners in numerous industries including manufacturing, restaurants, wholesale, retail, transportation and real estate for both publicly traded and non-public companies. His experience also includes international planning and compliance, as well as multi-state tax planning.
Prior to joining Decosimo, Mr. Hamilton worked for an international accounting firm and a regional accounting firm, in both the Knoxville and Memphis markets. He has also served as the tax director for a global orthopedics manufacturer.
Mr. Hamilton is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and its tax section. He is also a member of the Tennessee Society of CPAs, where he serves on the federal tax committee. His civic involvement includes service to the Knoxville Rotary Club as Treasurer and as an advisory board member for the Arthritis Foundation of East Tennessee.
Mr. Hamilton earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Rhodes College in Memphis and a Masters of Accountancy with an emphasis in taxation from the University of Tennessee.
