NASHVILLE (April 28, 2008)—Nashville-based Vaden Group, P.C. and
entertainment/sports accountant Mike Vaden have teamed with regional
accounting and business advisory firm Joseph Decosimo and Company,
PLLC. The newly formed business management practice, Decosimo/Vaden,
will serve entertainment and high-net-worth clients in Music City and
throughout the nation from its offices on Nashville’s Music Row.
Mike Vaden, CPA, assists entertainment clients with royalty accounting,
concert tour accounting, tax planning and compliance, investment
analysis, catalog valuation and financial management. He has become a
trusted advisor to professionals throughout the entertainment and
sports industries, as well as other business entrepreneurs due to his
understanding of complex tax transactions and estate planning
considerations. His clients include award-winning recording artists,
writers and producers, as well as business executives, athletes and
doctors.
“Thirty-five years of experience, coupled with a thorough understanding
of the financial workings of the entertainment industry, uniquely
qualify Mike and his team to serve creative professionals. The Vaden
Group is a welcome addition to our firm’s Nashville family,” said Nick
Decosimo, managing principal. “With the entertainment industry being
such an important part of Nashville’s business community, the next
logical step for our firm was to find the best people to serve that
segment of the economy. We found them in the Vaden Group.”
Mike Vaden joins the Decosimo firm as a Principal and is Director of
Decosimo/Vaden. Also joining the firm are 10 employees, including Tax
Director-Entertainment Services Jennifer Lane and Business Management
Tax Supervisor Vicki Bracey, who are serving clients out of the firm’s
new Nashville office located at Roundabout Plaza. Decosimo’s team from
the firm’s Brentwood location, led by principals Flynn Doyle, Ken
Lowery and Ronald Williams, has now united with the Decosimo/Vaden
professionals in the new Music Row offices. The combined practices have
formed a significant office with approximately 25 professionals and
staff, providing traditional and specialized audit, tax and business
advisory services to clients in a variety of industries.
“I am thrilled to establish this new venture with Decosimo,” said Mr.
Vaden. “They are a trusted and respected firm, and one of the largest
regional firms based in Tennessee. We both agree that service to
clients is paramount, and I know that the added expertise and depth of
resources they provide will benefit my clients immensely.”
