The Tennessee Restaurant Association has selected Flynn Doyle, CPA, a principal with Decosimo's Nashville office, to assist Board Chairman Jeff Messinger with leading the transition management team following the June 30th retirement of long-time CEO Ronnie Hart.

(Franklin, Tenn.) The Tennessee Restaurant Association (TRA) Board announced at its July 8 meeting that longtime CEO Ronnie Hart retired effective June 30, 2008. TRA Board Chair Jeff Messinger appointed a transition management team to handle tasks moving forward.
Chairman Messinger and Flynn Doyle, Principle of Joseph Decosimo and Company PLLC (Decosimo), and will lead the transition management team. Decosimo, a leading regional business and accounting advisory firm ranked in the top 100 accounting firms nationally, has earned the regard of the TRA Board for their efforts.
Chairman Messinger also appointed two task forces to explore options for industry cooperation as the organization transitions. Messenger anticipates that TRA will select a new direction by the end of 2008.
Board members heard from National Restaurant Association (NRA) Chief Strategy Officer Mike McCallum and determined it essential that TRA align with NRA's future direction. TRA will continue its promotion of products and services through its dual member agreement with the National Restaurant Association.
TRA will continue to be represented in the legislature by longtime legal counsel Dan Haskell, law firm of Gullet Sanford Robinson & Martin.
