Decosimo Advisory Services provides businesses and attorneys with the highest level of services in several practice areas, including business valuation, litigation support, transaction advisory, healthcare advisory and investment banking. Business Valuation and Litigation Support Team
Decosimo Advisory Services is one of the leading valuation firms in the South. During 2011 we testified in multiple federal and state courts, including US Tax Court, on issues such as business valuation in divorce, breach of contract damages, lost profits damages, the valuation of minority interests in closely held companies, forensic accounting, and wrongful death litigation. We provided business valuations to help owners transition control and to plan their estates, to facilitate transactions among shareholders, and to meet regulatory requirements. We provided impairment testing and purchase price allocation services to help our clients meet the requirements of the new intangible asset accounting rules. We provided professional leadership by providing training to other valuation professionals, speaking at industry conferences, serving on committees of national business valuation organizations, and publishing technical articles.

Healthcare Advisory Services Team
Our Healthcare Group experienced significant growth during 2011. We served as the exclusive due diligence consultants for rapidly expanding healthcare chains with national footprints. We served as expert witnesses, provided litigation support and calculated economic damages in hospital and physician group lawsuits. We served as valuation consultants in joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and provider litigation. We supported our assurance group and other accounting firms with fair value opinions, such as purchase price allocations and impairment analysis, while assisting with the continued expansion of our HUD assurance and compliance services. We provided physician practice management, billing and coding services, compensation arrangement assistance, and facilitated acquisition and integration initiatives with hospital executives and physicians. Our Healthcare Group serves hospitals, long-term care facilities, medical equipment providers, imaging centers, occupational clinics, and a variety of physician groups. Our healthcare clients vary by healthcare sector, size and complexity, including clients with multi-state locations and revenues ranging from $1 million to $2 billion.
