Annual Decosimo Tax Seminar Features Tax and Business Leader Tracks Oct. 30th
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (October 9, 2012) -- Decosimo will host the 2012 Decosimo Tax Seminar on Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the Chattanooga Convention Center from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. This year’s seminar will feature a federal tax update presented by keynote speaker Rick Taylor in the morning and breakout sessions in the afternoon. The breakout sessions will include a tax track and a Business Leaders Series track. The 2012 Decosimo Business Leaders Series track will feature three afternoon courses including “Public Relations: Everyone’s in PR” presented by Beth Bragg Henon of Bragging Rights Public Relations; “Employment Law Update” presented by Rosemarie Hill of Chambliss, Bahner and Stophel, P.C.; and “Forensics and Fraud: Red Flags and War Stories” co-presented by Principal Mike Costello, Senior Managers Pam Mantone and Sharon Hamrick, and Forensic Accounting Director Bill Acuff of Decosimo. The tax track also will offer three afternoon sessions presented by Decosimo tax professionals and will include: “Foreign Income: What’s Excluded? What’s Not?” co-presented by tax managers Darcia Wise and Elizabeth Powell; “State Tax Credits and Incentives: Past, Present and Future” presented by tax supervisor Sarah Denton; and “Strategic Transition Planning” presented by senior tax manager Bob Wheat. The morning federal tax update will be presented by Rick Taylor, the partner in charge of tax with Wipfli, LLP, who has more than 30 years of experience crafting tax planning strategies for unique client situations. Mr. Taylor has co-authored three technical tax books and was a developer and domain expert for two popular tax planning software programs.
