What kind of information does DECOSIMO collect?
We typically have comprehensive financial and tax information that you and others provide to us, which may include information about your assets, liabilities, income, expenses, taxes, investments, insurance, beneficiaries, etc. We keep copies of financial reports and tax returns as required by professional standards and tax laws. We have personal information you provide to us such as names, addresses, social security and taxpayer identification numbers, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, etc., all of which we use to manage our firms and provide services to you.
Will DECOSIMO disclose information about you?
For current and former clients, we do not disclose any nonpublic personal information obtained in the course of our practice except as required or permitted by law. Permitted disclosures include, for instance, providing information to our employees, and in limited situations to unrelated third parties who need to know that information to assist us in providing services to you. In all such situations, we stress the confidential nature of information being shared. DECOSIMO undergoes periodic peer reviews, which means that non-DECOSIMO professionals may see information that we have about you. We screen peer reviewers to determine that they do not have privacy conflicts and require them to comply with our privacy policy. If we receive a subpoena for information about you, we attempt to notify you and seek your direction before responding.
