International Tax Senior Manager
 Laurie is a certified public accountant with more than fifteen years experience in both audit and individual taxation. Much of this time was spent handling individual income tax and social security tax issues of globally mobile employees and their employers with large multi-national corporations, as well as smaller entities entering the global market. In addition to managing the individual income tax return process for home and host country individuals, Laurie has also assisted various global employers with expatriate assignment related issues including: compensation and benefit planning; individual/corporate payroll taxation matters; home/host payroll interactions; controls and reporting; work permits and visas; social security matters; and permanent establishment concerns. Laurie’s personal expatriate experience includes overseas assignments to Germany and France. In addition to corporate-sponsored individual tax work, Laurie has also assisted various high wealth individuals with expatriation and international tax minimization planning.
Prior to joining Decosimo, Laurie managed the U.S. individual tax reporting program and payroll consulting for approximately 1,000 inbound and outbound assignees for a large global automotive company. In this role, Laurie successfully liaised with multiple local entities as well as the foreign parent. She assisted her clients to meet corporate risk management objectives, in addition to organizing the completion of all required U.S. individual tax returns and appropriate multi-country payroll requirements.
Laurie received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa (Honolulu). She is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants and is a licensed CPA in Tennessee, Texas and Nebraska. Laurie is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a member of the International Systems Audit and Control Association.
